A Poet & a Painter Prints

If you are among the most fortunate of human beings, perhaps you have collaborated with someone you love and admire greatly. If so you will appreciate my gratitude for the six years spent illustrating the poetry of  Louis Alan Swartz. Louis sent me his first book, Constructed of Magic and Other Poems on the Immortality of the Human Spirit,  in the early summer of 2015 because we were already old friends. His poetry touched me deeply. When he asked me to illustrate one of his poems as a children's book, I did not hesitate. I worked with him until he passed on the eighth of April, 2021. His wife, Connie, and I continue to share his legacy.
